श्रद्धेय श्री वेत्सा पांडुरंग राव जी एक सच्चे और समर्पित हिंदी सेवी थे। राष्ट्रभाषा हिंदी की समृद्धि में एक प्रचारक के रूप में उनका योगदान अविस्मरणीय है। आवश्यक लगने पर वे हिंदी के हित के लिए योद्धा की भूमिका स्वीकार करने में भी नहीं हिचकते थे। उनकी हार्दिक सरलता, सरसता और निश्छलता का मैं सदा कायल रहा। मेरे प्रति वे अपना स्नेह प्रायः 'पूर्णकुंभ' और 'स्रवंति' जैसी पत्रिकाओं में प्रकाशित मेरी रचनाओं पर तुरंत पोस्टकार्ड लिखकर व्यक्त करते रहते थे। किसी साहित्यिक आयोजन की सूचना मिलते ही दौड़ कर आ जाते और पूरे कार्यक्रम पर बाद में निष्पक्ष राय भी देते थे।डॉ. विश्वनाथाचारी और डॉ. राजाराव को लेकर वे कई बार हमारे घर भी पधारे। मैं भला कैसे भूल सकता हूँ कि मेरे षष्ठिपूर्ति समारोह में वे अत्यंत कृपापूर्वक राजमहेंद्री आए थे और हमें आशीर्वाद देते हुए अत्यंत स्नेह से मेरी श्रीमती जी से कहा था- इस समस्त आशीर्वाद में आपका बराबर का हिस्सा है!

ऐसे परम स्नेही और हितैषी अग्रज के परलोकगमन से मैं निजी क्षति का अनुभव कर रहा हूँ। दक्षिण भारत के हिंदी आंदोलन के लिए तो यह अपूरणीय क्षति है ही।

परमपिता परमात्मा दिवंगत आत्मा को चिरशांति प्रदान करे!

Master garu was a noble, knowledgeable and kind hearted person. We grew up seeing him almost everyday, primarily due to his association with my father. I am confident that, wherever he is, he will continue to bless us. Praying God to give strength and courage to withstand this great loss.
